Overview
During my studies at Vancouver Island University I was assigned to photograph a product, then create an advertisement for that product.
Rational
For my product I chose my Skullcandy wireless headphone. When creating the advertisements I wanted o maintain Skullcandy's existing brand while adding little flair.
Process
When taking the product photos I had to be creative with my set up. I didn't have much room for a photoshoot, being confined to my room. for a plain background I taped together large white pieces of paper, then took that and taped it to my wall. I don't own a light box, but I do own a drawing display so I played my drawing display flat on my desk and displayed m a blank page to create that under lighting effect. For more lighting I used my bed side LED table lamp, along with a flashlight I tapped to the very edge of the shelve above my desk. For the darker advertisement I hung the headphones from a piece of yarn that I taped to the shelve above my desk.
