(Unofficial) Skullcandy Wireless Headphones Advertisement
This project began as a photography project. I was tasked with coming up with a composition and photographing a chosen item/object. I chose my SkullCandy Wireless Headphones, one because I had them on hand and thought they'd make a good advertisement composition, and two I love these headphone as they have never let me down. this isn't a real advertisement but I must say the battery life on these are amazing.
When approaching this project I wanted to capture Skullcandy's original branding in my design. Big, Bright, and Bold. Photography that shows off the product in a flattering way.
When creating this project I had very little space for photography. I was confined to my room, which wasn't small, but it certainly wasn't big either. I had to use my space wisely and create my own photography studio space. I used materials I had. I taped together big pieces of blank whit paper and taped them to my wall for a backdrop. I used my drawing display as a means to under light my item. I used my bed side table lamp as well as a flashlight I had taped to a shelve for additional lighting. For one of the concepts I had to figure out a way to suspend my headphone in mid air, I used some yarn from my stash of craft supplies for that. I was difficult and time consuming working in such a limited space but it worked out in my favour and the results are great.
